Who's up for the marathon at the weekend, have been talking about doing it for the past couple of month's but as it approaches not so sure might still go if a few more are doing it as well ( safety in numbers ;D ;D)

I might join you if we can get a 4-6 team together. Steve said he might do it if he is recovered from injury, I agree about safety in numbers as we can spread the spares. Its a long spin and very windy at the top. any guess at time to do? John

I think I could still be up for the Marathon. Busted hand but would love to give it a go. My brother is up for it too and I said to Ronnie and Bill when I was up at Dunmore. I don't know if they are still up for it or not? If we could get 4-6 together then we would be sorted. Intended to treat it more like a day out riding with the bonus of actually finishing. ;D So far we could have John, Conor, Stephen & Martin. If Ronnie & Bill weighed in we could have 6 of us. I take it we could do it in under 6 Hours? found last years results/times What do you think? www.irishcycling.com/publish/exec/view.cgi?archive=8&num=2053

Looks like a runner then lads! Just spoke to Bill he is not good following a bad fall on building site so he is out, get well soon Bill. Weather is OK for Sat but will be very windy at the top. I got a reply from club re feed zones, sounds like you need to give bottles at start to be transported to feed zones. Finish at 4pm should be OK, usual 1 hour for lunch chaps! John Weather www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0001Reply from club: Water stop at the Windy Gap. Bottle can be transported there for you. No time limit but there is a B route (short cut home) some riders may consider taking if they are finding the going a bit rough !!!!

All systems are go. If we get some good weather should be a great spin. I think it is organised into the various classes. I take it that We would need to be there for 9am or so? John I'll give you a ring.

Well we certainly didn't get the weather but we managed to finish it. A great race and great day out, eventhough we got lost once or twice. Looking forward to next years. The course would make a great club run. I came across this GPS datalog of the 2007 course trail.motionbased.com/trail/user/rdhma123Stephen
